An Exhibition of New Collaborative works by Marissa Paternoster and Delia Kovac at The AS220 Project Space Exhibition runs: September 6 - 27, 2014 Opening Reception Saturday September 6th, 2014 5-7PM

August 11, 2014 PROVIDENCE, RI- The AS220 Project Space Gallery is proud to announce the exhibition of the ongoing collaboration of Rhode Island artist Delia Kovac and New Jersey artist Marissa Paternoster. SAFE SPACE will be on display at the AS220 Project Space from September 6, 2014 to September 27, 2014. The opening reception with both artists will be on September 6, 2014 from 5 - 7PM.

SAFE SPACE is a series of new large scale collaborative paintings and prints created by Delia Kovac and Marissa Paternoster. SAFE SPACE includes 4 large scale black and white paintings & a blanket fort that you’re more than welcome to kick it in. 

Marissa Paternoster and Delia Kovac are best friends. They began drawing collaboratively in 2009.

SAFE SPACE: Delia Kovac + Marissa Paternoster Collaborative works

SAFE SPACE is a series of new large scale collaborative paintings and prints created by Delia Kovac and Marissa Paternoster.

SAFE SPACE displays the pleasure of mark making, rock'n'roll and unconditional love in times of darkness.

Marissa Paternoster and Delia Kovac are best friends. They began drawing collaboratively in 2009.

Marissa Paternoster
Paternoster holds a BFA from the Mason Gross School of the Arts of Rutgers University. She has been working for the past nine years as a musician, who tours internationally with her band, Screaming Females. Her music projects include Screaming Females, Noun, and the Bad Canoes.

Delia Kovac
Kovac holds a BFA in Printmaking from the Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA from the Mason Gross School of the Arts of Rutgers University. She worked in Professional Fine art printshops on three continents including the Singapore Tyler Print Institute and the Brodsky Center in New Brunswick, NJ. Currently she serves on the board of Girls Rock! RI and Equity Action the RI Foundation fund for LGBTQ concerns.
